Coeur d'Alene mental health advocate who founded a recovery nonprofit and was surprised with a Hometown Hero award


Tess Reasor is a mobile crisis responder at Benchmark Human Services and the founder of 208 Recovery North, a nonprofit in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho dedicated to helping people in recovery from substance abuse and behavioral health disorders. She also serves as the Region 1 Representative on the Idaho State Behavioral Health Planning Council. In April 2025, TDS Telecom's Hometown Hero Award program surprised her with the recognition, with TDS President and CEO Walter Carlson presenting the award and a $1,000 donation to 208 Recovery North. Nominations had flooded in from the community, with evaluators noting that Tess' name kept coming up again and again.
