Jacqueline Broxton

Pasadena, CA

Pasadena nonprofit leader who has awarded over $700,000 in scholarships to Los Angeles County foster youth since 2018

Jacqueline 'Jackie' Broxton is the President and CEO of the Biddy Mason Charitable Foundation (BMCF), a Los Angeles-area nonprofit she grew from a single Thanksgiving dinner ministry for foster youth in 2013 into a full-service organization supporting current and former foster youth across LA County — home to the nation's largest foster care population. Since 2018, BMCF has awarded over $700,000 in academic scholarships to more than 300 current and former foster youth, run kinship caregiver support groups, and created maternal resources and mentoring networks for youth aging out of the system. PBS SoCal named her a 2025 Local Hero, recognizing her as a community leader making a meaningful difference in Southern California.
